PARTICIPANT APPLICATION - 2019
NO BEVERAGES OF ANY KIND WILL BE SOLD BY VENDORS
All spaces 15’ x 15’
Food vendors: selling foods to be consumed on the premises-$100 per space (popcorn, peanuts, swamp cabbage, barbecue, etc.)
Authors: will donate a signed book or pay $25.00 per space (Limit one space free of charge)
Vendors other than above: $25.00 per space
Not-for-profits: No charge (churches, animal rescue, Red Cross) Limit one booth space. Extra space $25 per space.
Demonstrators: No charge if doing an active demonstration of pioneer task or product (tatting, spinning, canning, other) for one space.
Parking - vendors must move vehicles to designated parking area after unloading.
Set up - Set up either Friday between noon and 4 pm or Saturday morning before 9 am.
There is no electric available, so please bring a QUIET generator if you require electric power.

Dear Pioneer Day Demonstrators and Vendors,
The DeSoto County Historical Society will present the 15th annual Pioneer Day and Barbecue on Saturday, March 16, 2018, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The event will be held at DeSoto Veterans Park, on State Road 70, two miles west of downtown Arcadia.
Last year, more than 3,000 people enjoyed our festival. We offered great entertainment throughout the day, our free hands-on children’s area, many demonstrators of old-fashioned skills and crafts, plus the DeSoto Arts and Humanities Council group featuring local artists and authors.
Our Barbecue--and many other vendors--sold out last year, so invite your friends and family to savor the event’s special and traditional Florida foods. This year we expect more folks to come and experience what “Old Florida” was like.
Your application is included and may be returned along with your fee by regular mail to: P.O. Box 1824, Arcadia Florida 34265, or email to email@example.com. You may set up from noon to 4 p.m. on Friday and before 9 a.m. on Saturday morning.
Please remember as in past years: The DeSoto County Historical Society is the only vendor to sell beverages of any type. Anyone selling beverages will be asked to leave the event, and no fees will be refunded.
The Pioneer Day Committee is pleased to accept applications from new vendors and demonstrators with products related to our pioneer/historic theme. All spaces are reserved when payment is received.
