Meetings

Our meetings will be held the second Thursday of each month at the Family Service Center on Whidden Street in Arcadia at 12:00 noon until further notice, due to restoration and renovation of the Brownville School. Lunch will be a “sweetheart deal” for Valentine’s Day: BBQ brisket, green beans, and more--plus dessert--available at 11:30 a.m. for $5!

January 12, 2012:

Our Speaker will be Joe Spann, a native of Polk County and manager of the Polk County Historical and Genealogical Library in Bartow. He will speak about Early Florida Railroads. Our January Newsletter can be viewed here.

Our speakers willo be Christi Pryor, a teacher of agriculture at DeSoto High School, Superintendent of Schools Adrian Cline, and three students in the Future Farmers of America program. Our February Newsletter can be viewed here.
