at DeSoto Park 9:00 am - 4:00 pm. DeSoto Park is located north off of Highway 70 just
west of the Peace River Bridge. More information can be found here.
May 28, 2010 - Third
Annual Tribute Dinner at the Family Service Center Annex.
We will be honoring Coach
Richard Bowers this year. There will be a receiving line at 5:00
pm and dinner will begin at 6:00 pm. Seating is limited, so make
your arrangements to attend early!
The American Flag in the Tree of Knowledge
Park was virtually destroyed by Hurricane Charley. The American
Legion is shown here performing a ceremony at the first
annual Pioneer Day to replace the
Flag.

Harold
McLeod having a snack of homemade cookies and keeping an
eye on the 50/50 drawing with the contraption he built to keep
the raffle basket turning. Harold is a very active member
of the Historical Society.

The Historical Society Annual Yard Sale was
held in October, 2009 and was the biggest and best
yet. Shown in this picture are customers, also, Sheriff
